I am always cold, and it isn't any different when I am at work. I have had a blanket to snuggle up in, for the last year and it has helped. But I think it usually starts with my feet, and if my feet are cold then there is no hope of me getting warm. So I decided I needed to add a foot pocket to my blanket. This is what I came up with.
I started with 2 blankets that I already had on hand. They were not the same but were very similar in color and fabric.
I wanted the larger one to be the blanket so I cut the bottom off the smaller one to the size that I wanted the pocket to be on the blanket. I wanted the pocket pretty big so my feet could go inside and then cover most of my legs as well (sometimes I wear skirts to work).
I put the right sides of the blanket together
pinned and trimmed off the access.
Then I just sewed around the edges. I turned the right side out and I had a cozy little blanket that keeps my feeties warm.
I have had this blanket at work for the last couple weeks and I love it! The pocket is great for keeping my toes warm but the pocket isn't in the way on the days when I don't need it like if I am wearing boots. I just lay the blanket on my lap and you can't even see the unused pocket. It has been great!
Do you need a Foot Pocket Blanket? It was very easy to make, took less then 30 minutes!
very creative! good job:)
