I am sure that you have all been seeing these beautiful felt flower scarfs popping up all over blog land. I had been seeing them for awhile but couldn't quite figure out how to make them. That is until Amy at Watch Me Daddy posted a wonderful step by step tutorial WITH PICTURES!
She made it look so easy that of course I couldn't wait to make one of my own. Although I did mine just a little bit different.
The thought of hand cutting all of those circles out made me spin, so instead, I cheated. Because that is what I do best!
I used 2 different Sizzix Big Shot dies to cut my flowers. That way they were more uniform and much easier to cut. I used the Bigz Island Flower and the Bigz L Fun Flowers. Both of these dies are Stampin' Up Exclusives but if you are interested in them please let me know and I can get you set up with a demo (not me, but a good friend of mine).
After my flowers were all cut out I assembled them exactly as Amy instructed and I ended up with this beautiful pile of flowers.
For the base of the scarf I cut a strip of felt about 2 1/2 inches wide and 38 inches long. I ended up using 17 flowers. I hand sewed each flower onto the strip of felt. Then I rounded and trimmed the ends so the flowers would blend in more then having square ends and Wallah!
I really love how it turned out and I get compliments on it every time I wear it. I like that it isn't quite as big and as bulky as the original so I don't mind wearing it all day.

That scarf is absolutely adorable!! I love that it is no-sew, thank you so much for sharing. And that yellow is gorgeous!
