I got some really nice frames from my work but they all had the company logo on them. Now I love my job but that doesn't necessarily mean I want it plastered all over my house. So I painted over it and played around with it a little bit and this is what I came up with.
The quote is one of my favorite quotes. I don't who said it first but "A goal not written down is only a wish".
The frame holds a 4x6 picture so I started by taking the frame apart so I jsut had the outer wood frame to work with. The frame started out as white with my work name in white, so I painted over it in a simple brown with some acrylic paint I had on hand.
I wanted kind of scratched/weathered look so I used a scrunched up grocery bag to paint on the white over the brown.
When I was finished with the white it looked like this. Then I took a piece of sand paper and rough it up just a little bit more.
I have a Craft Robo which is a vinyl cutter so I created this file with my quote, cut it out of brown vinyl and applied it to the glass of the frame.
I put some cute scrapbook paper in the frame where the picture would go and Wallah!
I really like how it turned out! What is your favorite quote?
Not only is the frame adorable but I LOVE the quote! Thanks for sharing it...it may be one of my new favorites!
